Passing various resolutions at the end of the public hearing organised by Evidence, an NGO, here on Saturday, the members led by its Executive Director A. Kadir said that with rising crimes against women and children, it was all the more essential to expedite the cases and render justice to the victims. The recent amendments to the SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act mentioned the need for establishing courts and appointing judicial officers for this purpose.
