Amit Shah’s ‘Rougeness’
The Union government has decided that students will have to write the entrance exam to enroll in central state universities. This is called CUTE. This is against marginalized people and will only lead to encouraging the coaching center. The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu has brought an individual bill on 09.04.2022 that it should be repealed. With the exception of the BJP, all parties, including the AIADMK, have spoken out in support of the uniqueness of Tamil Nadu. This is, in fact, the good news.
Tamil soil will never accept these pro-Hindi, pro-NEET measures of the BJP and they are going to stand alone as they did in the Assembly. Home Minister Amit Shah is lighting a fire. “We need to make Hindi the official language. English should be phased out of the official language, ”he said. These discussions have been going on since the enactment of Article 17 on the Official Language of the Constitution of India. History has it that during the British rule, attempts to make Hindi the language of instruction in the then Chennai province failed. Then, Nehru gave a pledge to the people of the South. ‘Hindi will not be imposed on those who non-Hindi speaking people. English will last. ‘
Now the Hindi language is being taken over by the Union government again. It has come to the point of saying that Hindi should be not only the official language but also the language of communication. Even during the Corona period, the Union government was sending out several circulars calling for the implementation of India. But as states became more focused on corona disease, the problem went unnoticed.
If someone decides English is comfortable and it is needed, then the union has no right to interfere. Nor does it make sense for Amitsha to say that English is a foreign language. It is true that English is equally used in India as languages like Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. In fact, the Sahitya Akademi, an organization affiliated to the Central Department of Culture, recognizes English as one of the national languages of India and presents awards for the best English literature. The reason why someone who is the Home Minister speaks without even this minimal understanding is because of the sectarian view of ‘Hindutva’. Even though he was a Gujarati by birth, his upliftment of India was due to the fact that Hindi was very close to the Parpanic (Brahminic) culture of Sanskrit. The RSS insisted that Sanskrit should be the national language of the country and that Hindi should be the national language till that time. Golwalker, who developed the RSS philosophy, recorded this in writing.
From this, it can be assumed that the Union government has come down in an attempt to divide India into South and North. Truth be told, these are the separatist forces in this country. India is a country of Hindus! This is a country with a large Hindu population. The Sangh pariwars who are talking about that are the real Hindus who oppose English, those who support English and those who support the state language are not real Hindus. That divide people on the basis of language. Already Hindus are divided on the basis of caste and it is erupting into contradictions.
Caste-based division; Language-based division; It is now becoming a fundamental divide even for the discriminations shown between states. The single word Hindu could not unite the people and they were divided by caste, language and statehood. The Union BJP continues to drag the states into the question of why we should live together in India.
If the ruling state is by BJP ‘Hindu’ then generous help to them; where -rule takes place by Non BJP Hindu, is neglected; This is the characteristic of Hindu Parpanism!
