Dravidian model: The new form of the Aryan-Dravidian struggle

Periyar pointed out that the politics of this country was the Aryan-Dravidian struggle. Dravidar Viduthalai Kazhagam (DVK) has passed the resolution pointing out that  ‘Dravidian model’ versus RSS, and it is evolving into a struggle for Manu dharma. On April 2 and 3 in Erode the Head committee and Executive were held respectively under the chairmanship of Party President Kolathur Mani and General Secretary Viduthalai Rajendran. Second day (Apr.3, 2022) at Erode KKSK Marriage hall, Kolathur Mani, President of the Association, proposed the resolutions at the Executive meeting. 86 out of 90 members participated. Resolution on ‘Dravidan Model’ passed in it as below:

DVK expressed its condolences to Madathukulam Mohan, Member of the head committee of the Dravidar Viduthalai Kazhagam who pioneered the spread of party policies by humbly associating with comrades and an activist Lenin Subbaiah, also known as the Dalit Supaiya, spreading the Periyar Ambedkar ideologies through his revolutionary ‘Liberation Voice’ in Music

“What has been going on in this country since ancient times is not a political struggle, it is an Aryan Dravidian struggle,” Periyar said. The brahminical forces that are on the rise in Tamil Nadu are constantly carrying out political activities with various maneuvers. Yet they could not fully succeed. After Jayalalithaa’s demise, the Parpan forces, which for many years had “haunted” Tamil Nadu by taking advantage of the weak leadership of the ruling AIADMK, made all the covert efforts to prevent the DMK from coming to power. When the DMK won and came to power, the manu dharma plans of the Union Government were in crisis.

The DMK leader, Chief Minister MK Stalin, who has categorically declared that the “Dravidian model” is the DMK’s policy, is making serious plans towards it.

In this historical context, Periyar earlier remarks of the Aryan Dravidian struggle is now taking shape as a struggle between the Dravidian model and the RSS Aryan Sanathana. The Dravidian model is advancing in its efforts to build Tamil Nadu against the paranoid maneuver of building its own education, medicine, women’s advancement, autonomy, language, industry, and financial policies. The Union brahminical regime is trying to overthrow the Dravidian model by exerting its full power over Tamil Nadu with the aim of somehow halting these developments.

Blatant violations of the law are taking place, using the Governor to block the resolutions of the Sovereign Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. The need and necessity arises to overcome this struggle which begins and continues in the Vedic period. This action calls on the Tamil sensitivities to unite and support the Dravidian model of the state of Tamil Nadu in this struggle, understood in the light of historical socio-politics, without party affiliation.

DVK congradulates the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for giving a firm voice to the self-respect and uniqueness of Tamil Nadu

Caste Honor killing Prevention Act

Our Party emphasizes that the Government of Tamil Nadu should come forward to put into action the long standing demand for the Prevention of Caste honour killing Act to continue the caste genocide and use the loopholes in the existing law to prevent the escape of casteist criminals and to create a caste free Tamil Nadu. This act emphasizes the need for the creation of separate units and hostels to protect the caste and religious deniers, pointing out that the Dravidian model regime has a duty to protect them.

Anti-Superstition Act

Increasingly, innocent people are being deceived and robbed of their possessions by preachers. This Executive meeting calls on the Government of Tamil Nadu to enact an “Anti-Superstition Act” as in force in the states of Karnataka and Maharashtra (51h) to stop the clergy who capitalize on the superstitious beliefs of the people and to develop a scientific mindset that emphasizes the duty of citizens in the Indian Constitution. We demand the Government of Tamil Nadu to explain these superstitions among the people and encourage the Government to disseminate science and rationality, and to provide appropriate guidelines to the Police for granting appropriate permission for this rational and scientific propaganda to be disregarded, despite opposition from reactionaries.

Prohibit business organizations like Matrimony sites looking for grooms within the caste

The pride and identity of Tamil Nadu lies in creating a casteless Tamil Nadu. When Kalaingar was the chief minister, he introduced a scheme to provide incentives to those who had caste-denied marriages in that category. It is highly reprehensible that now caste organizations are ignoring social justice and using caste as a vote bank for electoral politics and talking about its glories. To add to this, some business organizations that are looking for a groom within the caste are publishing advertisements looking for a groom within the caste in the media. We need to stop advertisements looking for a groom within such a caste. The action demands that the media broadcast such advertisements not drag the community backwards.

Community Certificate: Only category to be printed instead of caste names

This Executive meeting requests the Government of Tamil Nadu to omit the caste name in the Community certificates by issuing a “Reservation Privilege Certificate” or “Category Certificate” as an alternative to the caste certificate currently issued to students. It is enough if the details about the caste are only in the revenue department records! and it is not required in the certificates.
