Scientific inventions are not made by individuals, though it may apparently appear so. Edison could not have invented incandescent light if he were living in a forest in paleolithic period. The development of society creates the environment for inventions and hence all scientific inventions are the property of humanity, though the individual deserves accolades.

The automatic superstore of invention is the result of the advancement of modern society. Such innovations should benefit humanity by saving human labour and gives spare time for humanity to spend with family and recreation.

Since the Amazon Inc is given ownership of the innovation, the economic gains of saving human labour benefits only the owners of the firm. The human labour saved by mechanization, instead of giving leisure time for the society, is creating joblessness among laborers.

The only remedy to this evil is that private property should be abolished, and all means of production should become the property of the society.

The BJP government that has captured the power in the Center and the RSS behind it and the Indian capitalists are doing everything to achieve their political and social goals. The ‘Good Governance’ mask is worn to hide their real objectives.

The attack on the Raintambh at Bhima Koregaon when tens of thousands of Dalits had assembled to relieve their emotions and their prestigious history, is to challenge the rise of Dalit identity and the politics against discrimination. By desecrating a monument identified and founded by Ambedkar, who vehemently fought Hindu caste hierarchy, Indian religious extremists have openly accepted that they will never come out of Manu Smriti’s lines.

Cow Rakshas attacked and killed Muslims and innocent people in broad daylight in the name of religion. The attack on Periyar, who fought superstition and Brahmanical hegemony in Tamil Nadu by his rationalist movement is an extension of their designs elsewhere in the country. A senior BJP leader declared that fall of Lenin’s statue would be followed by fall of Periyar’s statues and there were also attacks on Periyar’s statues.

Encouraged by a series of election victories, the ‘Brahmin – Baniya’ Capitalist, religious association in India is declaring war on Socialism, Social Justice and rationalism. By attacking the symbols of Communism, Rationalism and Social Justice Hindutva is symbolizing its enmity towards Communism, rationalism and Social justice.

French revolution declared ‘Liberty, Equality and Fraternity’ to all citizens. French revolution created the new identity of ‘Citizenship’ over and above religious, linguistic, colour and regional identities. The concept of a nation was on the concept of Citizenship. India’s fascist forces who always ensured that India did not evolve and progress in line with modern scientific philosophical concepts are trying to contain the concept of Nation within the identities of religion and language. Gurumoorthi’s article in Dinamani openly calls for understanding and accepting the notion of India as a country based on Hindu religious identity. Prime Minister of the country is participating in religious events at venues created by destroying forests.

French revolutionaries destroyed thousands of Churches, guillotined priests and confiscated Church lands and properties. One day Indian revolution will do the same.

Hindu fascists’ venture to destroy the statues of revolutionaries is the sign of their meek attempts to stop the progress of the society and reverse history. Hindu fascists have identified Communists, Oppressed and Rationalists as their primary enemies.

Communists in India appear confused and lack direction. Social justice movements are stranded in the quick sand of corruption.

It is the need of the hour that Communists reexamine themselves. In the globalized, privatized, liberalized India in the post USSR era, Marxism should self-analyze and draw the roadmap for the journey of the 21st Century Proletariat. Social justice movements should come out of their petty politics and look high.

Communists, progressive movements and movements for social justice should come together to face the rise of fundamentalism.
