Dear All,
I visited world famous shrine Velankanni on 16.02.2017 to study its very worst side. Still maintaining the cemeteries based on the caste. 1. Dalit Cemetery, 2. Masuvathi Cemetery (For Orphans and the peoples got inter-caste marriage), 3. Fisherman Chettiyar Cemetery, 4. Nadar Cemetery, 5. Mukkulathor and Vellalar Cemetery. Even today the Dalits could not participate in the Pascal drama during the Easter. The novena before the festival in September 8th each day allotted for each caste except the Dalits. Just before 5 years the Dalits claimed the rights of celebrate 6th day novena on every 4th of August. I was so happy to be with the Velankanni caste annihilation revolutionary Thambi John Bosco.

சாதி மலம் மண்டி கிடக்கும் உலக புகழ் பெற்ற வேளாங்கண்ணி திருத்தள சாதி கல்லறைகளை பார்வையிட்டோம். தலித் கல்லறை, அனாதைகளுக்கான மசுவதி கல்லறை, மீனவ செட்டியார் கல்லறை, நாடார் கல்லறை,முக்குலத்தோர் கல்லறை,வெள்ளாளர் கல்லறை என்று சாதி மலம் மண்டியுள்ளது.தலித்துகளை தவிர சாதிக்கொரு நவ நாள். கடந்த அய்ந்து ஆண்டுகளாகத்தான் ஆறாவது உபயம் ஆகஸ்ட் நான்காம் நாள் தலித்துகளுக்கு ஒதுக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.வேளாங்கண்ணி
